If you have ever wondered what It was like to fly, then that time may be here. Harness your inner Marty McFly and enter the AeroMobil. The Vehicle was unveiled at SXSW this past weekend, a celebration that combines music, film and conferences to introduce to the public. It takes place in Austin, TX every year in mid March.

My first initial impression was unsure what to think of this. AeroMobil is a great concept but is it ahead of our time? This invention makes electric cars seem like something of the past (in ways, it already kind of is). The design is definitely aerodynamic yet is a little reminiscent of a Great White Shark. Maybe Sharknado somewhat predicted the future on this one.

Now that I got that out of the way, the specs are pretty impressive. Some of the highlights are:

Top Speed: 124 mph (P) 99 mph (C)

Range: 435 miles (P) 575 (C)

Special features: Carbon & steel framework, Collapsible wing.

The drawback is that you need a pilot's license and that you have to be going 81 mph in order for this to take off. Also, it is still in prototyping phase and the company has stated in an interview with Wired mag, the price will probably be north of what a Lamborghini would cost.

Even after all that, It would be pretty awesome to be flying a car one day soon. For more information, visit: http://aeromobil.com/#url-video
